Tamil actor Alex died at a private hospital in Chennai following a brief illness. He was 52 and is survived by his wife and two daughters. Alex had debuted in films with the Rajinikanth-starrer Valli`. Industry sources said he had acted in over 100 films, playing the role of villian in many.
